How green is your grass?

People will tell you that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Okay, sure. That’s about as helpful as those highway signs that say ‘Bridge may be icy’. Sure, it might be. It might be a lot of things.  It might be on fire, underwater or covered in angry lemmings. Either way, the sign isn’t going to make you a safer driver…but I digress.

So yeah, maybe the grass is greener on the other side and maybe it isn’t, but that’s not the important question. The important question is why your grass isn’t green enough in the first place, and nine times out of ten, the answer is pretty simple: you’ve done a less than adequate job taking care of your lawn.

Like it or not, that’s a problem you can’t outrun and getting to the other side won’t help a bit. All that will get you is a different lawn to not take care of. The point, if it isn’t already clear, is this: the surest way to greener grass isn’t jumping the fence, it’s picking up the hose.
