As Far as I know,
\n There has always been a cycle of warmth and cold,
\n And our civilization (to impact either)is not very old.
\nAs Far as I know,
\n The Lord was told 2000+ years ago there was “no place in the inn”,
\n That we still have no room in our schools and courthouses is far worse a sin.
\nAs Far as I know,
\n Our Nation was built on a simple document called the Constitution,
\n And it won’t stand, like any house, if you weaken or alter the firm foundation.
\nAs Far as I know,
\n The genders have specific attributes that enhance and complement each other,
\n To mix or match the sexes will never substitute the strength of a father and a mother.
\nAs Far as I know,
\n The ills of society could be cured so quickly,
\n If we just took our vows and oaths seriously.
\nAs Far as I know,
\n We spend millions of dollars on saving the planet, the whales or the rhino’s horn,
\n Yet cry no outrage on the slaughter each day of the yet unborn.
\nAs Far as I know,
\n A short-cut never did save time and ususally ended up in some sort of murk,
\n And like your father told you, there is no substitution for hard work.
\nAs Far as I know,
\n Above all, a man’s character is what matters most,
\n And not what accomplishments, connections, wealth or schooling he can boast.
\nAs Far as I know,
\n There are far too many opinions and views,
\n That obscure any pertinent facts in the daily news.
\nAs Far as I know,
\n Everything worth knowing and worth sharing,
\n Can be found within the walls of a home with love and caring.<\/p>\n
